Janome sewing machine reviews

Janome sewing machines are pricier than most machines, but don't let that price fool you. They are definitely worth paying a little bit more for their superior quality. Most of their consumers can also testify to Janome sewing machines’ durability, lasting them years, or even decades!

But which Janome sewing machine should you get? Don’t worry! We listed down the machines which are the best from Janome’s assortment in our opinion.

Janome Sewing Machine Reviews:

 Janome 2212

Janome 2212

If you’re just beginning your journey into the sewing world, the Janome 2212 might be the perfect fit for you. This simple, easy to use mechanical sewing machine is highly popular for its durability and affordability.

The Janome 2212 comes with 12 built-in stitches with a four-step buttonhole, and it also comes with a drop feed for those beginners who are willing to get more creative with their sewing.

Of course, the machine doesn’t come without drawbacks. For one, it doesn’t have an automatic needle threader. If you’re an advanced user, you might be better off with other types of Janome machines. But for those who are looking for a lightweight and basic mechanical sewing machine, go for the Janome 2212!

Janome HD3000

Janome HD3000

For those who are looking for a heavy duty Janome sewing machine, you should check out the Janome HD3000. Its hefty price may shock you, but this is definitely worth your money, especially if you want to do some heavy duty and advanced stitching.

The Janome HD3000 comes with 18 pre-patterned stitches and a one-step automatic buttonhole. And unlike the 2212, it has a built-in automatic needle threader! Its other features include a reverse stitch lever, snap-on presser feet, and automatic bobbin winding. At a weight of around 20 pounds, the Janome HD3000 is one of the sturdiest sewing machines (and it comes with a metal      frame!) in the market today.

Janome Magnolia 7318

Janome Magnolia 7318

Frequently listed as one of the best product, the Janome Magnolia 7318 is one of their most versatile and popular sewing machines. Aside from the Janome 2212, the Janome Magnolia 7318 is also highly recommended for beginners.

If you’re willing to pay a bit more for better features (compared to the Janome 2212), the Magnolia 7318 would be the right match. It has 18 built-in stitches and a 7-piece feed dog. Our favorite feature, however, is their top loading jam proof bobbin system, making it an almost foolproof machine for sewing newbies! It’s fairly easy to use, and it can also handle thicker fabrics such as denim.

Janome 5812

Janome 5812

Now if you really want to be frugal but still get great stitches for your clothing items, we recommend the Janome 5812. It’s one of the cheapest Janome sewing machines, but of course, true to Janome’s reputation, it’s still very reliable and is of high quality.

The Janome 5812 comes with 12 built-in stitches with 39 stitch functions and a drop-in bobbin. For those who want to get a little bit creative with their sewing, a free arm feature is also available for easy stitching. Since it’s a bit cheaper, this machine doesn’t come with an automatic needle threader. But for beginners, this machine is quite a steal! It’s lightweight, making it easy for you to take them     to your beginner sewing classes!

Janome DC2014

Janome DC2014

One of their higher end products, the Janome DC2014 is the best of its kind. This machine may not be the best choice for beginners, as it comes with a very hefty price. Advanced users and experts will love this machine, though! They can get value for money with the DC2014.

It has a whopping 50 built-in stitches and three buttonholes, and it also comes with a LED stitch pattern indicator. Like most Janome machines, it also comes with a free arm feature and an automatic needle threader. It can run through thick fabrics, and it works well for quilting! It is fairly easy to use, and it comes with a wide variety of sewing accessories. Sewing enthusiasts would surely fall in love with the Janome DC2014!
